ESYO offers two exciting summer camp options to nurture young musicians of varying skill levels. We recommend Summer Strings Camp for younger and lower-intermediate string players. Summer Chamber Camp is the choice for upper-intermediate string players. Students showcase their work in a public recital at the end of each camp week.
Summer Strings Camp
Are you currently in String Academy 1 or 2? Then this camp is for you!
Our Strings camps are a great way to continue your child’s music education and strengthen their playing ability in a focused setting. Students will have professional coaching, plenty of ensemble playing, and musical activities both indoor and out! Just bring your instrument, a music stand, a snack and a water bottle – we’ll provide the fun!
Recommended for students 4th-7th grade with at least 1 year of experience.
Summer Chamber Camp
Have you been playing for 3+ years? Then choose this camp!
This half-day camp is for students ready for more experience playing in small chamber groups – trios, quartets, etc. The chamber setting fosters musical independence because each musician takes ownership of their part and collaborates with fellow players directly. If you are currently in Little Symphony, Junior Orchestra, or Youth Symphony, this will be a great way to hone your skills and play some beautiful chamber music with friends!
Recommended for students 7th-12th grade with at least three years of experience.
