Some of ESYO’s most dedicated students choose to participate in our Ambassador Musician Program (AMP) in addition to their regular ensembles. By performing at a variety of Eugene-area fairs, dinners, markets, and more, AMP students gain chamber music and gig skills. They are musical ambassadors on behalf of ESYO and earn Private Lesson Scholarship in return for their outreach performances.

Are you interested in having an AMP group play at your event?
Reach the AMP Coordinator with the following information:
- Date & Time of Event (AMP requires at least one month’s notice of events)
- Event Type (dinner, fair, lobby music, etc.)
- Venue Description (musicians must be indoors)
Since AMP musicians are students, all AMP performance requests must be reviewed and approved by the AMP Coordinator at least one month prior to the event in order for the service to be guaranteed.

Junior Orchestra AMP
Who can participate in AMP?
If you…
- Have been placed in Junior Orchestra
- Want additional coaching to learn our fun AMP Music collection
- Are interested in representing ESYO by performing in the community
… then AMP might be a great fit for you!
AMP Prep Class meets every week right before JO rehearsal. Students receive coaching on the AMP Music and work on performance skills in preparation for performances.
AMP Performances are opportunities for JO musicians to boost their chops performing at a variety of community events (fairs, dinners, markets, etc.) while representing ESYO. They will be playing from the AMP Music collection.
Many AMP participants find the experience a valuable addition to resumes and college applications!
Earn Private Lesson Scholarship Dollars!
- AMP participants can earn $200 in Winter and Spring for attending all required AMP Prep classes and performances (see performance dates below).
- Extra (not-required) performances are awarded with an additional $25 in PLS each time you complete a gig.
- AMP participants have the chance to earn up to $500 in PLS!

- Oregon Mozart Players Lobby Music: December 18th, 6:45 PM -7:25 PM @ Central Presbyterian Church.

Youth Symphony AMP
Who can participate in AMP?
If you…
- Have been placed in Youth Symphony
- Want additional performance experience (gigs!)
- Are interested in creating a chamber group with your ESYO friends
- Enjoy teaching younger students/have camp counselling or childcare experience
… then AMP might be a great fit for you!
AMP Performances are opportunities for YS musicians to boost their chops performing at a variety of community events (fairs, dinners, markets, etc.) while representing ESYO. You will be playing from the AMP Music collection. You are also welcome to propose other repertoire for your group.
AMP Mentorship is an opportunity for YS musicians to share their experience and skills with our other students in String Academy, Little Symphony, and JO. You will be attending your assigned class and supporting the group in their rehearsals, as well as at concerts.
Many AMP participants find the experience a valuable addition to resumes and college applications!

- Through Mentorship, you can earn $50 per month for meeting the attendance requirement in your assigned class.
- Performances are awarded with $25 each time you complete a gig.
- You may participate in Mentorship, Performance, or BOTH.
- AMP participants have the chance to earn up to $500 in PLS!
Performances
To be placed in an AMP performance group, please fill out the Interest Form and register for AMP in Amilia.
Once you have done this and committed to preparing music with your group, gig opportunities can be assigned. Gig assignments usually come out 1-2 months in advance, so it is important that you rehearse with your group regularly so you are ready.
